Some of my designs are accepted at Qwertee! I want to thank you for the votes my shirts already have!
If you want to vote for them, you can do so here (top one) and here (bottom one).
The background colour of the shirt is just an example, and possibly not what they’re going to end up with. I have a few more shirts submitted as well. Take a look at them if you wish. I appreciate your support! My Qwertee profile.
I really recommend this for those interested! These are all podcasts (about 30 mins). The two hosts of the show introduce you to which real life persons most likely inspired Sir Doyle when giving birth to his characters. Enjoy!
This Sunday will see the last episode for Sherlock Series 2, ‘The Reichenbach Fall’, broadcast on BBC One on British screens (yes we know, we’re sad too.) However, while the cast and crew finish their shift for Sherlock - for a while at least - Sherlockology’s work is just beginning!
Since New Years Day we have received a deluge of enquiries as to props, wardrobe and filming locations featured in the series, which left us with somewhat of a dilemma. Initially, we were going to wait until after Sherlock Series 2 had aired on PBS in the United States in May, but due to the very nature of retail, we realised that if waited that long chances are many items would no longer be available for fans to purchase. Therefore, we hope that many of you will be pleased to hear that we are in fact planning to begin to launch Series 2 content on Sherlockology.com very soon.
We will be meticulous in detail, and hope to provide you with all the information you wish to know on the (let’s just say it) phenomenal second series, from locations, props and wardrobe pieces, to new character and cast details, episode guide and downloads. Series 3 may not have been announced yet, however Sherlockology plans to keep the Sherlock flag flying high in the meantime and make what will no doubt be another long wait just that little easier to bear.
P.S. If you have identified something in Sherlock Series 2, or maybe just have a lead or anything you recognise onscreen, please do get into contact with us at firstname.lastname@example.org and tell us all about your deductions.
I reached 3000 followers! Which is amazing! Thank you everyone!
I will celebrate this by give away The Complete Sherlock Holmes (Barnes & Nobles Leatherbound classics) and two of my prints (20x30 cm, or 8x12 inches) which you can find here and here. There will be two winners (first prize and runner-up).
First prize: The Complete Sherlock Holmes + One of the prints.
Runner-up (or what I should call it): A print.
And you know how to do this, guys:
Reblog (as many times as you like)
I’ll choose two random winners from all the reblogs.
(More or less a summary of some news from the last weeks)
Q You’re back as Sherlock Holmes for the second series of the BBC adaption at the beginning of next year. What is in store?
A The first episode is going to be about the heart, whatever that may be for Sherlock. The second episode is about horror and suspense and the third is going to be an emotional rollercoaster and a thriller, so expect love, horror and lots of thrills.
Q Robert Downey Jr plays Sherlock on the big screen. What is the on-going appeal of the super sleuth?
A Our daily lives are so mundane, we get taken over by what is immediately in front of us and we don’t see beyond that. So I now sit on trains and I try to see, ‘Is that mud on the bottom of a boot?’, ‘I wonder where he has been’. ‘That collar looks a little bit frayed’, ‘I wonder whether he has been travelling for a while or has he forgotten his washing?’ You do try to piece together personal stories from bits of information.
Q You start filming as Smaug the dragon in Lord Of The Rings prequel The Hobbit in January. How is that going?
A I’m physicalising Smaug as a dragon, I’m not just doing the voice over, so it’ll be a physical role, which I’m no stranger to. I did Frankenstein at the beginning of the year with Danny Boyle, at the National Theatre, and playing the creature in that was a very full on and sort of corporeal experience.
I’ve already started working out and doing various movement exercises to get myself limbered up for that all-important jump suit with balls on it, otherwise known as motion-capture. But I can’t wait, I’m really excited.
The point is that they are not gay. The reason it needed to be addressed is I think partly because in the modern day you don’t necessarily have men in their 20s and 30s sharing a flat as you could in the original stories.
