Made-up quotes

I just want to mention that there is a lot of made-up and false quotes going around. They may be funny, but take it with a pinch of salt.

Like I always say - only trust reliable sources. [X] I am glad I can debunk that false imdb information.

Workaholic Sherlock star Benedict Cumberbatch has signed up for Crimson Peak, an old-school haunted house movie from Spanish writer and director Gulliermo del Toro.
Cumberbatch will join Emma Stone and Charlie Hunnan on the project, which del Toro says will pay tribute to classic set-based horror films such as 1963’s The Haunting.
Details of Cumberbatch’s role are yet to be confirmed but filming is expected to start in February, according to Variety, which should just about fit into the actor’s packed schedule.
Cumberbatch is currently filming series three of BBC1’s Sherlock, with a second stint slated for later in the year, and is also in the midst of biopic The Fifth Estate, in which he plays WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange. Other projects include Part 2 of The Hobbit, The Desolation of Smaug, and August: Osage County, opposite Meryl Streep. Next month he will appear in cinemas as the villain in Star Trek sequel Into Darkness.

Star Trek Into Darkness’ title was inspired by the nature of Benedict Cumberbatch’s character in the new movie, according to its writers.

Cumberbatch plays John Harrison in the movie, a former Starfleet employee who turns against the organisation and creates havoc across the universe which the likes of Captain Kirk (Chris Pine) and Zachary Quinto have to put a stop to.
“He understands Starfleet because he was enlisted in a similar way,” Roberto Orci told Star Trek Magazine. “Some might see part of the title coming from the fact that he’s kind of a dark shadow of members of our crew.”

“He too has gone through the process… that some of our crew have gone though, and clearly for some reason it’s failed to bring him over, so I think he represents that part of our heroes,” the writer revealed.
Fellow scribe Alex Kurtzman added: “Despite the fact that we are literally going Into Darkness, I think we all worked very hard to make sure the theme of hope, what hope costs, and what it’s really about, was always alive in how we were designing our story.”
“So we’re pretty consistent with the last movie in terms of dark things happening, but holding on to the light that Roddenberry (Gene, the TV show’s creator) set up as a basic tenet of the Star Trek universe,” he added.
Star Trek Into Darkness, starring Pine, Quinto, Cumberbatch, Simon Pegg, Zoe Saldanha, Karl Urban and John Cho, is released in the UK on May 9.

The Telegraph: Police Called to Sherlock Set

Police were contacted last night when a group of persistent and aggressive fans ignored the barriers set up for the public, and walked into the set. The young group of people continuously disturbed the actors, and ended up threatening the directors when asked to leave.

“I never imagined it would come to this.” Co-producer Beryl Vertue stated late last night.

But then again, if you’re a true Sherlock fan, you’ve probably been speculating about how the BBC hit drama’s detective may have possibly escaped death since the end of the second series.
Seen filming scenes around a bonfire in Bristol on Monday night, the 36-year-old star looks to have been joined by actress Amanda Abbington, the real-life partner of Martin Freemanwho plays the detective character’s sidekick John Watson.
The pair withstood cold conditions for the outdoor shoot - but the Guy Fawkes figure - wrapped up in a jacket, jeans, cravat and hat - sat atop a bonfire probably wouldn’t have been quite so chilly.
According to bristolculture blog, eager fans congregated at the Portland Square set and snapped away with their mobile phones after word got out that filming was underway.
It is also reported that Abbington – rumoured to be playing Watson’s love interest Mary Morstan – ran through a crowd of extras towards the bonfire shouting “Move, move!” as part of the session.
A motorbike and possible stunt double for the LAMDA-trained actor were also said to have been spotted.
Earlier this month Cumberbatch revealed that he and co-star Freeman are on board for a fourth season of the show.
He said that he would love for the series to continue for “as long as possible” - but did admit that the show’s future depended on the availability of not only himself and The Hobbit star, but writer Steven Moffat too.
“We love doing it as we are doing it at the moment in the format we are doing it,” he said.
“I’d love to keep it going for as long as possible, I think we all would.”
He continued: “It just depends on Martin and I’s availability, how long we can keep it going. It depends on Steven’s ability. I’d love to keep it going.”
Cumberbatch also promised fans that the next episode – believed to explain how his detective character survived falling off a roof - would be a “treat” for fans.
He said: “You are in for an absolute stonker. It’s going to be a treat.
“It’s a terrific episode.”

Does Julian Assange like being misunderstood? The WikiLeaks founder, who has been holed up in the Ecuadorian embassy since last June, is being portrayed by Benedict Cumberbatch in the film Fifth Estate. The Londoner hears Cumberbatch is taking the role so seriously that he asked Assange for an audience in his Knightsbridge hideout so that he could study his subject at close quarters.

However, while Assange has courted celebrity in the past, with singers M.I.A. and Lady Gaga both visitors to the embassy inmate, Cumberbatch doesn’t seem to cut the mustard. His attempts were firmly rebuffed.
Assange has already given an early review of the Fifth Estate film, based on the book by Guardian journalists David Leigh and Luke Harding, at an Oxford Union address last week. Speaking by videolink, Assange said the film, produced by Steven Spielberg’s DreamWorks, “is a lie upon lie”. “The movie is a massive propaganda attack on Wiki-Leaks and the character of my staff.”
Assange yesterday announced he was going to stand as an Australian senator as a means of getting out of his current bind. He took refuge in the Ecuadorian embassy to escape extradition to Sweden where he was due to face sex charges. However, his plans to skip the country and head to South America have been stymied by the British police, parked outside the embassy for the past eight months, at a cost of £3 million to the British taxpayer.
Meanwhile, Cumberbatch’s people confirm that he hasn’t met Assange and is now filming in Brussels and Iceland.

New Season, Same Old Hysteria

Guys, calm down! xD I know you are excited about series 3 - so am I! But they haven’t even started filming Sherlock series 3 yet. The photos and speculative tweets going around are old ones.

Many of the photos are from behind the scenes of series 1 and 2, but also the pilot.

Just be critical to the information you see, and do background research. This is exactly the same thing that happened last year.

Just keep calm, and wait for season 3.
